ning tools and aids to building.
Sequence of assembly
Study the illustrations and the associated brief texts to gain
an understanding of how the model goes together.
Adhesives
Use robbe Speed Type 2 cyano-acrylate glue ("cyano") with
the associated activator ("kicker") for all joints on this
model.
All directions, such as "right-hand", are as seen from the
tail of the model, looking forward.
Model variants
The model can be built either as a glider or as an electric-
powered glider. The appropriate fuselage nose cone for the
glider version is supplied as standard. The model can be
converted into a powered glider at any time, i.e. during con-
struction or subsequently.
Various stages of construction will be superfluous, depen-
ding on the version you have decided to build. Simply skip
the irrelevant sections.
The landing skid can be used as a tow-hook for the glider
version.
Lead ballast can be fitted in order to increase the model's
wing loading for slope-soaring.
Assembly and operating instructions
Parabolic KIT
If you make any changes to a model which has already been
test-flown, it is essential to check its balance before flying
again.
Radio control system
You need a radio control system with at least four channels
and four servos for this model. For the powered version you
also require an electronic speed controller with BEC func-
tion.
Please consider the arrangement of the receiving system
components before you start construction.
If you wish to use a system other than the one we recom-
mend, you can still keep to the arrangement shown, but you
may have to make allowance for minor differences in com-
ponent sizes.
Set the servos to centre (neutral) from the transmitter (sticks
and trims central) before you start construction. If the ser-
vos are fitted with output levers or discs, remove them at
this stage.
Powered glider: be sure to move the throttle stick to the
"motor off" position before switching the system on. Always
switch the transmitter on first, and only then connect the
flight battery.
Reverse the procedure when switching off: disconnect the
battery from the speed controller, and only then switch the
transmitter off.
Painting, decals
It is not necessary to paint the model.
When applying the decals we suggest that you emulate the
arrangement shown in the kit box illustration.
Notes on the building instructions
Depending on the version of the model you have purcha-
sed, the servos described and shown in the instructions
3
may not be the same as those included with your model or
recommended for it.
The recommended accessories for the kit version are not
identical to the components supplied in the ARF and RTF
versions. Please note the recommendations in the instruc-
tions and the accessory sheet.

Joining the wing panels
Fig. 1
- Fit the wing panels together, taking care that all edges
and surfaces line up correctly.
- Apply cyano along the butt-joints between the wing
panels on the underside.
Fig. 2
- Turn the wing over and apply more cyano to the joints on
the top surface.
Fig. 3
- Glue the dihedral brace in the slot using cyano.
- If there are small gaps at the butt-joints at the centre of
the wing, use cyano filler to make them good.
Fig. 4
- Fit the two carbon fibre rods (one long, one short) in the
channels in the underside of the wing, and glue them in
place using cyano.
