Fig. 3 Applying the rescue loop
3a Join the left and right ends of the chest webbing
at the centre of the body and connect them with the
wide Triple Lock buckle.
3b/c To prevent the rescue loop from sliding down
when the person is standing, place the elastic shoul-
der strap across the shoulder from front right to rear
left and fasten it to the chest webbing with the Velcro
fastener.
3d Then pull the centre webbing to the body centre
as well and fasten it to the attachment point with the
smaller Triple Lock buckle.
Fig. 4 Operation of the buckle types
4a To attach a Triple Lock buckle, the frame part
must be folded up and moved above the hook. To
loosen the buckle, press the protruding metal frame
into the buckle housing and lift the buckle up at the
same time.
4b To loosen an Easy Glider buckle, flip it up. To close
it, pull on the outbound strap. If needed, pull the
covers over the buckles.
Fig. 5 Tightening the webbing
5a/b Tightening the webbing. Adjust the webbing so
the rescued person cannot slip from the rescue loop,
while the attachment point must be on the same
level as the chin of the person.
5c Tightening the centre webbing. Adjust the web-
bing so the rescued person cannot slip from the
rescue loop, while the attachment point must be on
the same level as the chin of the person. Excess
webbing can be fastened at the rear of the webbing
using Velcro fasteners.
Fig. 6 Attaching the karabiner to the attachment
point
6a Attach the karabiner of the rescue system, e. g.
the winch of a helicopter, to the attachment point of
the rescue loop.
6b To transport the rescued person, lift him/her up
at the karabiner attached to the attachment point.
Ensure that the attachment point is on the height of
the face of the rescued person.
Fig. 7 Size adjustment of the rescue loop (e. g. adap-
tation for children)
For small persons and children, the rescue loop can
be folded at the back and made narrower using a
Velcro fastener. These adjusting options allow short-
ening the length of the chest webbing by an addition-
al 24 cm. Adapt the rescue loop to bigger persons
using the Easy Glider buckle.
7a Rescue loop not adapted (girth with tightened
Easy Glider buckle: 100 cm).
7b Loosen the Velcro fastener on the webbing for
adjustment.
7c Unfold the Velcro fastener for adjustment.
7d Fold the Velcro fastener while also folding the
chest webbing on the person's back.
7e Fasten the Velcro fastener on the left side of the
body. When the Easy Glider buckle is tightened, the
girth of the chest webbing is reduced to 76 cm.

The rescue loop is also available with sewn-in lanyard
