How to use

5.1

Factors affecting the service life

The following factors can shorten the service life of the product
considerably:
• scratching/damaging the insulation and/or coagulation
surfaces during the operation (e.g. caused by other instru-
ments)
• failure to remove dried coagulation remnants from the sur-
faces during the operation
• incorrect procedure when cleaning the product during and
after the operation
5.2

Only use sterile products

Clean, disinfect and sterilize the product before using it for the
first time and before every subsequent use.
5.3

Checking the product

Before every application, check the coagulation surfaces for
signs of damage!
If damaged, do not use this product!
5.4

Connecting the product

These products possess an electronic identifier (i.e. the product
and its specifications are recognized by the unit after the con-
necting cable has been inserted, and several default settings are
executed automatically on the unit).
1. Connect the product to the multifunctional socket of
VIO 300 D or VIO 3.
