The charger has detected a deep-discharged
rechargeable battery. The charger will attempt to
regenerate this rechargeable battery by means of
charge pulses. If this does not work, the rechar-
geable battery will be identified as faulty. If the
rechargeable battery can be regenerated, the pre-
charging mode is then initiated.
LED flashes green: Pre-charging mode
The rechargeable battery is prepared for rapid
charging by allowing a gentle, reduced current.
LED illuminates green briefly after inserting a re-
chargeable battery and then changes to red:
If the charge status of the rechargeable battery
is more than 70%, pre-charging is not required.

charge mode.
