When using an electric hotplate, its diameter must be smaller than or equal to that of the cooker.
-
When using the gas stove, the crown of the flame must not exceed the diameter of the base of the
-
cooker pot.
When using a ceramic hob, the base of the cooker should be absolutely clean and dry.

OPERATION
1. Open the large box. Take off all the packaging material and the protective cover of the unit and its
parts. Do not throw away the wrapping until you have checked that the cooker is functioning
properly.
2. Before you use it for the first time, carefully clean all parts that can be in contact with food.
3. Before each use, make sure that the counterweight, the safety valve and the sealing gasket are clean
and are working properly.
4. Once the ingredients have been put into the cooker, put it onto the heat source and wait for the
liquid to boil. Never leave the pressure cooker to "dry-cook".
5. Add salt to taste and stir the food. Please check that there is sufficient space between the food to be
cooked and the cover with the safety valve.
6. Put the lid into place and make sure that the gasket is in a correct position.
7. Turn the knob clockwise until the lid is firmly held.
8. As soon as the steam begins to come out through the counterweight valve, reduce the power of the
heat source. The cooking time starts at this moment.
9. Once the cooking time is up, take the cooker off the heat source and wait until steam is no longer
coming out through the holes of the counterweight valve. DANGER: The steam outlet is extremely
hot. The steam comes out vertically, so do not place your hands above the counterweight. Wait until
the steam has come out.
10. Turn the opening knob anti-clockwise and take off the lid to get to the cooked food.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PRESSURE COOKER
After each use
It is advisable to rinse the cooker with plenty of hot water. Avoid using washing-up liquid and use brushes
and sponges that will not scratch either the outside or inside of the pressure cooker. If any food is left stuck
to the inside, fill the cooker with water and leave it to soak for a while. If lime scale deposits appear, or the
cooker has become stained, put water containing vinegar on to boil.
The main body of the pressure cooker can be washed in the dishwasher, however we do not advise this for
the lid.
To wash the lid, clean the vent pipe with a thin rod, and the safety valve by pressing the ball with a rod,
always followed by a short blast of water.
