Wheeled guide shaft for trimmer is an accessory piece for grass
trimmer. When using guide shaft with grass trimmer please observe
safety rules for trimmer operation and general safety rules.
Before using wheeled guide shaft with trimmer read this manual and
the trimmer manual. Follow information therein.
For safe use, observe symbols that are placed on the product and
explained in this manual.
Guide shaft can be used only for the trimmer with attached grass
blade. Do not use guide shaft for trimmer with hedge blade
attached.

CONSTRUCTION AND USE
Grass trimmer guide shaft is an accessory equipment that allows
for comfortable operation when cutting grass with the trimmer.
When trimmer is attached to guide shaft, off/on switching function
is transferred to the switch located on the shaft. Shaft height is
adjustable in range approx. 90–110 cm.
When using the guide shaft you can work in straight standing position
without operating the trimmer directly in your hand.
It can be used for cutting grass under bushes, trimming grass at lawn
edges etc. Additionally you can rotate the trimmer in fixing attachment
to use the tool in vertical position and cut lawn edge.
Use the guide shaft according to the manufacturer's instructions
only.

PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
Guide shaft for grass trimmer 52G312 can be used with the
following VERTO tools: 52G310, 52G311.
INSTALLATION OF GUIDE SHAFT
Remove rubber cap from fixed shaft section ( 4) at the cord outlet.
Insert telescopic shaft section ( 6) into fixed shaft section (4).
Undo the locking ring ( 5) and slide the part with visible thread onto
fixed shaft section so it snaps in. When doing so, align key with
notch in shaft.
Tighten the locking ring ( 5).
ATTACHING GRASS TRIMMER TO GUIDE SHAFT
Slide the grass trimmer into trimmer attachment holder ( 9) in
the guide shaft until it locks (fig. A). Protrusions in the trimmer
attachment holder must be aligned with groove in the bottom of
the trimmer.
Connect trimmer connector ( 7) to trimmer socket (10) (fig. B).
Check correct operation of the switch before use. Switching on/off
is explained in section OPERATION/SETTINGS.
Trimmer and guide shaft disassembly is reversed assembly
procedure.
Guide shaft can be used only for the trimmer with attached grass
blade. Do not use guide shaft for trimmer with hedge blade
attached.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
SWITCHING ON / SWITCHING OFF
Wheeled guide shaft for trimmer is equipped with button that
protects against accidental starting.
Press the switch lock button ( 1) (fig. C).
Press the switch button ( 2) (fig. C).
Release pressure on the switch button ( 2) to stop the tool.
