Speaker Configuration 2
Speaker Size Setting
Each time the SELECT button is pressed, the setting is changed
as follows:
FL-CL-SL / FL-CL-SN / FL-CS-SL / FL-CN-SL / FL-CS-SN /
FL-CN-SS / FS-CS-SS / FS-CS-SN / FS-CN-SS / FL-CS-SS /
FL-CL-SS
(F : front, C : center, S : surround left and right, L : large,
S : small, N : none)
Large:
Select this when the connected speakers can fully reproduce
sounds below 80 Hz.
Small:
Select this when the connected speakers are rather small and
cannot reproduce sounds below 80 Hz.
When this setting is selected, bass frequencies below 80 Hz
are output from the sub-woofer (if no sub-woofer is
connected, from the front speakers).
None:
Select this when no speaker is connected. The sound is output
from the front (or surround) speakers.
< Depending on your selection, settings available for each
speaker changes.
< When the front speaker is set to "FS (small)", the sub-woofer is
set to "SUB W-Y (yes)" automatically, and bass frequencies of
the front channels are output from a sub-woofer. A powered
sub-woofer is indispensable for this setting.
Subwoofer Setting
SUB W-Y (Subwoofer-Yes):
Select this when a powered sub-woofer is connected.
SUB W-N (Subwoofer-No):
Select this when no sub-woofer is connected.
If the front speaker is set to "FS(small)", you cannot select "No".
< To enjoy the full home theater experience, we recommend the
use of a powered sub-woofer.
Distance (front, center, surround)
Input the distance from your listening position to front, center
and surround speakers. The delay time is automatically
adjusted to improve the surround effect.
You can change the setting from 0 to 9 meters, at 0.3 meter's
step.
Virtual Surround Angle
Narrow:
When the distance from your listening position to the front
speakers is relatively long, select this.
Wide:
When the distance is relatively short, select this.
< This setting works only in the Dolby Virtual mode. When any
other surround mode is selected, this setting has no effect.
