5.3 General safety precautions

Operate the tool only as directed and only when it is
in faultless condition.
Keep the tool, especially its grip surfaces, clean and
free from oil and grease.
Always hold the tool with both hands on the grips pro-
vided
Use only foil packs approved for use with the tool.
Never leave the tool unattended.
Opening the tool (disassemby) is not permissible.
If damaged, the compressed air connecting hose must
be replaced at a Hilti service center.
Maintenance work on the tool may be carried out by
Hilti service personnel only.
Do not use dirty or damaged foil pack holders.
The front plate and piston plate must be kept clean.
Disconnect the tool from the compressed air supply
if it is found to malfunction and before cleaning.
The mixing nozzle may be replaced only when the foil
pack is not under pressure (the trigger must not be
pressed).
The mixing nozzle must be replaced after a pause in
the work or if the adhesive mortar in the nozzle has
become hard.

6. Before use

6.1 Connecting the compressed air supply
-NOTE-
The maximum input pressure must not exceed 10 bar.

7. Operation

-CAUTION-
After a hard impact, or if the foil pack holder has been
dropped with the foil pack fitted, the foil pack holder and
the foil pack must be checked for damage.
7.1 Preparing the foil pack for use
-NOTE-
Before use, read the safety precautions and the infor-
mation concerning the conditions under which the
product may be used (printed on the label on the foil
pack). Observe the expiry date.
Each new foil pack requires a new mixing nozzle.
The tool is to be used exclusively for dispensing the
contents of Hilti 1400 ml foil packs.

5.4 Requirements to be met by users
The tool is intended for professional use.
The tool may be operated, serviced and repaired only
by authorized, trained personnel. This personnel must
be informed of any special hazards that may be encoun-
tered.
Always concentrate on the job you are doing. Proceed
carefully and do not use the tool if your full attention
is not on the job.

5.5 Personal protective equipment

The user and any other persons in the vicinity must
wear suitable eye protection and breathing protection.

The foil pack must always be inserted in the foil pack
holder before use.
1. Remove the cap from the foil pack.
2. Screw the mixing nozzle onto the foil pack.
3. Push the foil pack into the foil pack holder from the
front.
7.2 Inserting the holder with the foil pack
-CAUTION-
Keep the hands away from the area of the pressure
piston.
1. Press the piston return button until the pressure pis-
ton is in the rearmost position.
2. Slide the foil pack holder into the holder chamber from
the side.
3. Rotate the holder through 45° in two stages (double
click) within the holder chamber.
