Tutorial
This section takes you through step-by-step explanations of how to make con-
nections to your amp, create sounds, save or reset the sounds you've created,
and use rhythm patterns. Once you've followed along with these explanations,
you'll understand nearly all of the operations of the MIMX.
1. Connections
[1] Carefully read the cautions for use, and then set up your amp. Next use the
included power cable to connect the rear panel
outlet.
Note: The sound (particularly the low-frequency response) of the amp will
change according to the location and conditions in which you set up the
amp.
[2] Connect your electric guitar to
connections.
[3] If you're using a compact effect device, use a shielded cable to connect it be-
tween your guitar and amp.
[4] Make sure that
MASTER volume is set to 0, and turn on the

switch. The startup animation will appear, and the amp is ready to use.
Note: When you're finished using the amp, make sure that
is set to 0 and then turn off the
2. Creating a sound
We will create a basic heavy distortion sound by operating
the
pre-amp section. First of all, turn up the Master vol-

ume as figure shows or desired.
[1] In MANUAL mode, all tone controls physically indicate their position like an
analog interface.
 Click the MANUAL button and
the LED will light up.
 Select "Psycho" from the AMP
SELECTION knob.
 Set the Gain and EQ's as the
figure shows.

Next we will add "DYNAMIC FLANGER" from the FX section and "ECHO" from the
DELAY&REVERB section.
[2] Press and hold down the TAP button in the FX section for 3 seconds or longer.
As a result, extra FX banks will become enabled. For a bank button will blink
indicating effects edit mode. We will select bank number "2" to the DYNAMIC
FLANGER.
 Hold down the tap switch for 3 seconds or longer.
 Click the bank "2" button which contains "DYNAMIC FLANGER". The bank but-
ton now selected blinks.
 Turn up the SELECT knob to FX2 area as
the figure shows.

[3] Next we will adjust parameters of the DYNAMIC FLANGER.
 Turn the MIX knob clockwise. We will hear the
flange effect's sensitivity change as the MIX knob
is moved.
 Turn the SELECT knob clockwise within the FX2
range and the depth of the effect becomes deeper.
 Click the TAP button slowly more than two times to
decide modulation speed/tempo.
[4] Next, we will adjust an Echo effect.
 Turn up the SELECT knob to the ECHO range.
 Turn MIX knob clockwise and raise mixing level.
 Let's get a little more feedback by choosing the up-
per position of the SELECT knob in the range of
ECHO.
 You can adjust the delay time by tapping the TAP
button with your desired tempo speed.
Now you have created a flanging high gain distortion sound with a tape echo ef-
fect.
