User qualifications
Without suitable training, users cannot detect or may
incorrectly estimate the hazards presented by the pressing
procedure. They are therefore at risk of seriously injuring
themselves or others.
• Skilled persons qualified in pipe installations only may be
permitted to use Geberit Mapress pressing collars and
adapter jaws
• Users must be conversant with and apply country-specific
safety regulations
• Users working with pressing collars and adapter jaws for the
first time must have been instructed by an expert in safe
handling or have attended a specialist course
Following information and instructions
Failure to observe the safety notes and instructions can lead
to serious injuries.
• Read through and observe all safety notes and instructions
relating to the pressing tool, pressing collar and adapter jaw
before commissioning
• Read and observe the safety notes for the cleaning agents
used
• Retain all safety notes and instructions for future use
