Cleaning the sieve in the water shortage safeguard
1. Force open the clamp and pull the hose out.
2. Take out the sieve.
3. Clean the sieve under running water.
4. Push the sieve inwards.
5. Slide the hose adapter all the way into water short-
age protection device and secure it with a fastening
clamp.
Note
If necessary, screw in the M8 bolt approx. 5 mm so that
the filter can be pulled out.
Cleaning the fuel filter inside the fuel tank
Note
Do not let the fuel enter the environment.
1. Knock the dirt off of the fuel sieve.
Cleaning the fuel pre-filter at the oil filling port
1. Remove the cover from the fuel tank.
2. Clean the fuel pre-filter.
3. Reinstall the cover.
Replacing the oil pump fuel filter
1. Remove the fuel filter.
2. Replace the oil pump fuel filter.
Cleaning the fuel tank
1. Remove the cover from the fuel tank.
2. Unscrew the retaining plate.
3. Remove the fuel tank.
4. Rinse out the fuel tank.
5. Refit and assemble the fuel tank.
Decalcifying the appliance
The flow resistance is higher if there are deposits in the
pipes; this increases the load on the motor.
DANGER
Risk of explosion due to combustible gases!
Smoking strictly prohibited during decalcification. En-
sure proper ventilation.
DANGER
Risk of burns injury on account of acid!
Wear protective glasses and protective gloves.
Procedure
According to statutory requirements, only tested and ap-
proved boiler decrusting agents may be used.
RM101(order no.6.295-398.0; 5L) dissolves chalk and
simple compounds of chalk and detergents residues.
1. Fill a 20-litre container with 15 litres of water.
2. Add one litre of boiler decrusting agent.
3. Connect the water hose directly to the pump and
hang in the other free end into the container.
4. Insert the connected spray pipe without nozzle into
the container.
5. Start the engine according to the operating instruc-
tions of the motor manufacturer.
6. Open the trigger gun and do not close it during the
decalcification process.
7. Set the temperature adjustment switch to a working
temperature of 40°C.
8. Let the appliance run till the working temperature is
reached.
9. Switch off the appliance and let it stand for 20 min-
utes. The trigger gun must remain opened.
10. Then pump out the machine until empty.
Note
As an anti-corrosion measure and for neutralizing the
acid residue, we recommend that you finally pump an
alkaline solution through the machine (for e.g. RM 81)
via the detergent tank.
ATTENTION
Frost
Destruction of the device through freezing water
Drain all water from the device.
Store the device in a frost-free location.
If frost-free storage is not possible:
1. Drain the water.
2. Pump commonly available anti-freeze through the
device.
Note
Use commonly available, Glycol-based vehicle anti-
freeze. Observe the handling instructions of the anti-
freeze manufacturer.
3. Allow the device for run for a maximum of 1 minute
until the pump and lines are empty.

Troubleshooting guide

Malfunctions often have simple causes that you can
remedy yourself using the following overview. When in
doubt, or in the case of malfunctions not mentioned
here, please contact your authorised Customer Service.
Oil alarm lamp ON
Note
Only for diesel engines.
Lack of oil.
 Fill with oil.
Appliance does not work
Follow the operating instructions of the engine
manufacturer!
Empty tank
 Refill oil and remove the air from the oil pipeline.
Low battery
Note
Only for diesel engine equipment.
 Charge the battery before starting the engine and
check the charging fuse.
Insufficient appliance pressure
The engine speed is too low.
 Check the operating speed of the engine (see the
section " Technical data").
Nozzle blocked/washed.
 Clean/replace the nozzle.
Sieve in the water inlet is dirty.
 Clean the sieve.
Amount of water supply is too low.
 Check the water intake (see the section " Technical
data" for required water intake).
Pipe inlets to pump are leaky or blocked.
 Check all inlet pipes to the pump.
Air within the system
 Venting the pump:
a Open the water supply.
b Start the engine according to the manufacturer's
operating instructions.
c To vent the pump, unscrew the nozzle and allow
the appliance to run until the water exits in a bub-
ble-free state. Finally, let the appliance run for 10
seconds and then shut it down. Repeat the pro-
cess for several times.
d Switch off the appliance, and fit the nozzle again.
