2. OPERATION
Keep the door area clear at all times!
Make sure that the space required for door
movement is free of persons (especially
children) and obstructions.
Before using the door for the first time, carry out a
check on the door in accordance with Chapter 5 „Test
and Maintenance"!
When correctly fitted, the garage door should have a smooth
action and be easy to operate.
Opening and Closing
Open and close the door by hand using
the outside handle or inside handle only!
Improper use could result in injury!
On closing the door, ensure that the door locks securely.
Locking and unlocking
The door does not lock automatically when closed manually.
To lock and unlock your garage door use the key or the
locking pin.
•
From the outside:
turn key around 360° degrees
to unlock:
turn anti-clockwise
to lock:
turn clockwise
•
From the inside:
push locking pin on the inside handle
to unlock:
push up
to lock:
push down
For locking and unlocking garage doors equipped with
automatic door openers, refer to the manufacturer's
manual for instructions.
3. TROUBLE-SHOOTING
If the door is sluggish or shows other signs of malfunctio-
ning, check the functional parts. Follow the instructions in
Chapter 5 "Test and Maintenance".
If any points are unclear, contact the After-Sales Service.

4. CLEANING AND CARE
Clear water is sufficient for cleaning and care. Warm
water with a neutral, non-abrasive cleaner can be used
(house-hold detergent, pH value 7) if the doors are more
heavily soiled.
Rubbing down the panes will cause scratches. For this
reason, fluid should always be used when cleaning. Only use
soft cloths or window leathers. Rinse away particles of dust
and dirt with water before rubbing down.

5. TEST AND MAINTENANCE
The following test and maintenance
procedures should be carried out by a
competent person every six months!
Negligence or unsatisfactory maintenance
increases the risk of injury to persons and
damage to property.
Do a visual inspect on all parts and security elements
conceming completeness, state and functionality.
Tension spring assembly
Check the tension of the springs:
open door halfway
door must hold in this position.
If the door is seen to travel down,
increase the tension of the springs.
Attention: high spring tension!
Failure to observe the above runs the risk of
the door crashing uncontrollably to the floor,
thereby causing injury to persons or damage
to property.
Door cables
Check door cables for breakage points and damage.
Replace damaged door cables immediately.
Attention: high cable tension!
Fixing points
Check that all fixing points are firmly seated and if necessary
tighten to secure.
Track rollers and tracks
Door should open and close smoothly.
Close door and check whether the track rollers rotate easily.
Should rollers not turn easily or cannot be turned at all,
adjust until all rollers rotate easily.
Clean roller tracks, removing dirt and any foreign substances.
Do not lubricate tracks!
Oil hinges and roller holders.
Locking cylinder
Do not oil locking cylinder! If sluggish lubricate with commer-
cial graphite dust.
6. SITE FINISHING
The door leaf has been given a polyester ground coating.
If you wish to paint the door another colour or if a refresher
coat is necessary:
•
sand surface lightly using a very fine sandpaper;
•
wash down with water and leave to dry;
•
apply commercial resin outdoor paint (note: avoid dark
colours on double-walled doors). Follow paint manu-
facturers application instructions!
