Clean the air filter regularly. Renew the filter if it
is damaged.
1. Unscrew the star screw, take off the cover and
remove the air filter (20).
2. Clean the air filter with soap and water. Do not use
petrol!
3. Allow the air filter to dry.
4. Install the air filter in reverse order.
Renewing the fuel filter
IMPORTANT!
Never operate the machine without a fuel filter.
This can result in serious engine damage.
1. Remove the tank lid fully.
2. Drain the fuel into a suitable container.
3. Use a wire hook to pull the filter out of the tank.
4. Pull off the filter with a turning movement.
5. Renew the filter.
Carburettor setting
The carburettor is optimally set at the factory.
Changing the spark plug
Spark plug electrode gap (21) = 0.635 mm [0.025"].
1. Tighten the spark plug to a torque of 12-15 Nm.
2. Put the spark plug connector onto the spark plug.
Spool attachment
Changing the spool

the spool cover (22).

Polemounted pruner attachment
Filling saw chain oil
The machine is supplied without the oil tank of the
polemounted pruner filled with saw chain oil.
Never operate the polemounted pruner without
chain lubrication!
Use without saw chain oil leads to damage to the saw
chain and the guide rail.
The service life and cutting performance of the chain
depends on optimum lubrication. The saw chain has oil
applied to it automatically during operation.
Place the polemounted pruner on a suitable surface.
1. Unscrew the cap (17-1).
2. Fill the oil tank with biodegradable saw chain oil. Use
a funnel for easier filling.
When filling, make sure no dirt gets into the oil tank.
3. Screw the cap closed again.
4. Never fill with recycled oil or used oil. The warranty
will be invalidated if an oil not authorised for saw
chains is used
