INTENDED USE
This tool set is used for assembling side and rear windows and windscreens that are mounted floating
in rubber.
SAFETY INFORMATION
•
Use the tool for the intended purpose only.
•
Keep children and other unauthorised persons away from the work area.
•
Always wear appropriate protective equipment and protective clothing when using this product,
such as safety glasses, protective footwear and protective gloves; this applies to both the user
and the assistant.
•
Always use rubber suction cups/disc carriers when removing and installing panes.
•
Always be careful when handling panes; panes made of laminate safety glass are especially
sensitive.
•
Always follow the safety information and special notes of the vehicle manufacturer.
•
Ask a second person for help. There is a risk of injury when putting on the pane without a
second person, and assembling the pane will prove more difficult.
•
Make sure that the work area is clean, tidy, well-lit and appropriately equipped.
•
Store this tool in a dry place that is inaccessible to children.
USE
When assembling panes and selecting the correct tools, it is absolutely necessary to know how the
pane is installed in the rubber and the car body.
IMPORTANT
For European and American vehicles, panes are installed that can rest in the window frame. The
window seals have an N-shaped profile.
For many British vehicles and in bus construction, panes are usually smaller in size that the body
opening. The window seals in this case have an H-shaped profile. The procedure for assembling the
window and selecting the tools is different.
