Using the Targeting Lamp
To use the targeting lamp, press the targeting lamp button.
The targeting lamp shows where the fl ash is pointing and can be

used to assist the focus operation when the subject is in shadow.
The direction of the fl ash can be adjusted as shown below.

The lamp remains on until the targeting lamp button is pressed again or
the fl ash unit is turned off . In M1 mode or when fl ash-compensation sup-
port is enabled, the lamp will turn off briefl y when the fl ash fi res.
The targeting lamp may fl icker at low battery levels. This is not a malfunc-
tion.
