7. Slowly turn the steam controller, after which the steam sprays out of the steam pipe and your drink is heated up. The
amount of steam can be controlled by turning the button.
Warning: Never turn the steam controller too quickly, too much steam could be created too quickly otherwise, which in rare
cases could lead to an explosion.
8. When your drink has reached the required temperature, turn the steam controller to the closed position again (turned
upwards) and press the steam button to turn it off.
After use, you must properly flush though the steam pipe 1 time to remove residues of (chocolate) milk. For this, observe the
above-mentioned steps and select water at step 5. After flushing through, throw away the water. Remove the attachment from
the steam pipe and clean it as described in section CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE. Be careful that you do not burn yourself!
Attention:
• If you want to make coffee immediately after using the steam pipe, the indicator light next to the coffee button will flash
quickly. The appliance is still too hot for making coffee. After using the steam pipe, we recommend switching off the
appliance and allowing it to cool down for at least 5 minutes, before making coffee.
• When the appliance fails while steam is being released, the residual heat ensures that steam continuous to be released for a
certain period of time. The appliance stops producing steam when you turn the steam controller off (turned upwards).
Warning: The steam pipe becomes hot, only grab it by means of the supplied handle.
After use, always switch off the appliance by briefly pressing the ON/OFF button. When the indicator light switches off, you
can let go of the button and the appliance is switched off. If you do not switch off the appliance yourself, it will switch off
automatically after approx. 25 minutes to save energy. After switching off, remove the plug from the socket.
After making coffee, do not forget to screw the filter holder out of the appliance and remove the coffee residue. For this, push
the flap on the handle of the holder upwards with your thumb, this makes sure that the filter does not fall out of the holder.
Then remove the filter from the holder and rinse it under flowing water. Empty the water reservoir to prevent scaling. Also
empty the removable leak tray regularly, the floater in the leak tray becomes visible above the cup grille when the leak tray is
full. Allow all parts to cool down before you clean them.
Regularly clean the coffee machine. This is not only beneficial for the life span of the appliance, it also ensures optimum use of
the appliance and, of course, good tasting coffee.
Cleaning should involve the following:
• Prior to cleaning, always check that the coffee machine is switched off, cooled down and that the plug has been removed
from the socket.
• Regularly clean the outside of the appliance with a slightly damp cloth and then wipe it dry with a dry cloth.
• Regularly clean the water reservoir, leak tray and cup grille of the appliance with hot water and a mild washing-up liquid.
Then rinse thoroughly with hot water and wipe dry.
• Take the filter holder away from the appliance by turning it clockwise. Remove coffee residues and clean the filter holder,
filters and measuring spoon/tamper with water and a mild washing-up liquid. Then rinse thoroughly with hot water and
wipe dry. Attention! Avoid making contact with the blades in the filter for coffee capsules, these are very sharp.
• Remove the attachment from the steam pipe and clean it with hot water and a mild washing-up liquid. Then rinse thoroughly
with hot water and wipe dry. Wipe the end of the steam pipe clean with a slightly damp cloth and then wipe it dry with a dry
cloth.
• Place back all components correctly in the appliance.
Attention: Never use abrasives, alcohol or solvents when cleaning. Never rinse the appliance under the tap or submerge it in
