Note
For best audio quality and when using long cables, use a balanced microphone and shielded
cables. For a more secure connection, threaded audio connectors are recommended. In this
case, the audio mounting nut will need to be removed see Hardware Overview on page 10.

Install the Hardware

This AXIS product is designed to be installed into the following video encoder racks:
• AXIS 291 1U Video Server Rack
• AXIS Q7920 Video Encoder Chassis
To mount the hardware in an encoder rack, follow the instructions in the Installation Guide included
with the rack. The latest versions of the documents are available on www.axis.com
