Introduction
The vehicles that use electronic injection, have a computerized electronic system
that, besides controlling the air/fuel mixture, allows to control several other
functions, such as: ignition advance, idle speed, air conditioning control,
deceleration, injection cut off, etc. The adjustment of these parameters enables
an optimum driving and pollutants emission condition.
The electronic injection computer or ECU (Electronic Command Unit) analyzes
the information received from the sensors in the vehicle, processes the data
through an internal program and returns control actions for the actuators.
Most of the Electronic injection systems have a program called AutoDiagnosis,
that allows the identification of several troubles ocurred in the system. These
troubles generate internal codes in the ECU that can be identified by MBB Diag
III.
Besides reading trouble codes, MBB Diag III can send signals to the ECU in
order to execute tests in the system.
