disposed of with normal household waste (2006/66/EC). Follow the instructions in section
'Removing the rechargeable batteries' to remove the batteries (Fig. 2).

rechargeable batteries. Correct disposal helps prevent negative consequences for the

Removing the rechargeable batteries
NiMH batteries may explode when exposed to high temperatures or fire.
Only remove the rechargeable batteries if they are completely empty.
Remove the rechargeable batteries in the following way.

Let the vacuum cleaner run until it stops and undo the screws (Fig. 3).

Remove one housing half and take out the rechargeable batteries (Fig. 4).

Squeeze the crimping caps that connect the wires between the handles of a pair of pliers
until the crimping caps come off (Fig. 5).

Put insulating tape around the bare ends of the blue and red battery wires (Fig. 6).
Caution: Keep the blue and red battery wires away from each other and do not connect them.
