The valve is maintenance-free.
In case any repairs are neces-
sary, please contact your local
installer or use the Oventrop
contact address specified in
sec. 2.1.
7. Decommissioning & Disposal
WARNING
Danger from fittings
under pressure!
Disassembling work
performed on a HVAC
system when it is run-
ning is dangerous. Liquid
when under pressure
can be very hot, and its
uncontrolled release can
result in severe injuries.
 Perform all work on a
depressurized and
cooled-off system only.
 Shut down the system
section and allow liquid
to drain in a controlled
fashion.
 Wear safety glasses
and gloves.

Once the valve has reached the
end of its useful life or if there is
a defect that cannot be repaired,
you will need to remove and di-
spose of it in an environmen-
tally safe manner or recycle its
material components.
When recycling:
• Scrap the metals.
• Recycle plastic elements.
• Dispose of other
components according to
material composition.
