General instructions for use

These notes on use describe the normal use of the product.
Please read all information carefully.
These instructions for use do not replace the user manual of the
electrosurgical unit used! Read the user manual of the electro-
surgical unit and ask Erbe or your distributor in case of doubt!
Note: Report serious incidents with the product to your local
dealer or Erbe. If you are a user in the European Union, also re-
port incidents to the responsible authority in your Member State.

Intended use / Indications for use

The neutral electrode is required for monopolar surgical proce-
dures and conducts a high-frenquency current from the patient
back to the electrosurcigal unit.
1.2

Compatibility

The neutral electrode is intended for use with the following
units:
• Erbe electrosurgical unit VIO 3, VIO 300 D, VIO 300 S,
VIO 200 D, VIO 200 S, VIO 100 C, VIO 50 C
1.3

Contraindications

Do not use the neutral electrode for patients unter 15 kg.
1.4

Environment

For the intended use, the product may only be operated in prem-
ises used for medical purposes.
