Installation
The pump should start before the water level reaches
4-1/2". If not, unplug the pump, lift it out of the tank,
slide the upper rubber stop down the float rod, and
retest.
If the pump starts before 3-1/4", unplug the pump, lift it
out of the tank, slide the upper rod stop higher up the
float rod, and retest. The pump must start when the
water level is between 3-1/4" and 4-1/2".
16. Press the pipe grommet down into position in the lid
(see Figure 3). Make sure that it seats all the way
around.
17. Insert the cords into the split cord grommet, making
sure that the cord grommet is right side up (see Figure
3), and outside the pump chamber (above the lid).
18. Bolt the lid in place.
19. Press the cord grommet into place in the lid.
20. Attach the cord to the discharge or vent pipe. Do not
leave excess cord inside the tank, as it may interfere
with the pump's operation.
If you removed the toilet, reset it and connect the water-
line. Turn on the water and fill the toilet tank. Flush the toi-
let (you may have to do this several times) and let the
pump run through one complete cycle of operation. Check
for leaks.
NOTE: Dispose of the old pump in a manner that meets
code requirements.
