3. INSTALLATION Notes on Installation CAUTION In order to avoid damage to the machine due to mis-operation, ensure that the voltage of the mains supply is 230volts AC. NOTE If the location site of this machine has a polished floor it is recommended that rubber pads are fitted under the level adjusters to prevent the machine sliding on the floor.

4. HOW TO PLAY Gator Panic is designed for all players, from children to grown-ups. When the game starts, the alligators come out from the 5 holes at random. The object of the game is to hit the alligators while they are out. One point is scored each time an alligator is hit.

The Adjustment switches are located inside the coin door. Service Switch. Press this switch to obtain game credits without incrementing the play meter and to change settings within a test. Test Switch Slide the test switch ON to enter test mode. Test mode allows testing and the changing of game settings.

Open the coin door and slide the test switch ON. Pressing the Enter Switch will step through the tests. Activate the test selected by pressing the Service Switch. After testing is completed, slide the test switch to the OFF position to return to normal game mode.

Do not use thinner or other organic solvents. Organic solvents may peel off the paint or deteriorate the material. The Alligators need frequent cleaning. Clean regularly. Select the Test Mode. (see5-2 page 38) Select the Input Test. Draw out the five alligators by hand. (During the input test, the Alligator Lock Finger is released, allowing the movement of the alligators by hand.

The Display Box Assy weighs approximately 30kg. Ensure that at least two (2) people are used to remove the Display Box Assy. Remove 2off pozi head screws (M5x25), with flat washers, and remove the rear access door. Disconnect two connectors from the score PCB and the one connector from the speaker.

Remove the Display Box assy. (see 6-4 page 46) Loosen the 2off Pozi head screws (M5x8) and remove the Slope. Disconnect the Alligator Assy connector and pull the Alligator Assy up to remove When refitting the Alligator Assy ensure that the pipe of the Alligator Assy fits between the two collars of the Drive Assy.

By adjusting the Slope height, the height of the Alligators upper mouth can be adjusted. Loosen 2off pozi head screws (M5x8) fixing the Rear Slope Bracket. Move the Slope Bracket up or down to adjust the height of the mouth so that the distance between the top of the Alligators teeth and the Playfield,when the Alligator is at its backmost position, is 47-55mm as shown below .

Note: The PC Boards are sensitive to static electricity. Ensure anti-static procedures are followed when handling the PC Boards. Remove the Alligator Assy. (See 6-5 page 47) Remove the pozi head screw (M4x12), with countersunk washer, and remove the nylon cable clamp. Remove the 4off pozi head screws (M5x20), with body stoppers and remove the Body.

The PC Boards are sensitive to static electricity. Ensure anti-static procedures are followed when handling the PC Boards. When refitting the Alligator Assy ensure that the Assy is in the backmost position and the distance between the upper mouth and the field is 47-55mm. (see 6-6 page 48 for adjustment.) Remove the Alligator Assemblies.
Remove the Drive Assy. (see 6-10 page 52) Unsolder the wires from the Sensor Pc Board. (Note the positions of each wire so that they are refitted correctly on the new PC Board). Remove 2off pozi flange screw (M3x6) and remove the Sensor PC Board. Refit the new Sensor PC Board and resolder the wires.

Remove the Drive Assy. (see 6-10 page 52) Unsolder the wires from the Solenoid. (Note the positions of each wire so that they are refitted correctly on the new Solenoid). Remove the button head screw (M3x12) and nylon nut, 2off socket head screw (M2.6x5) and remove the Solenoid.

Remove the Drive Assy (see 6-10 page 52). Disconnect the connector of the stepper motor. Remove the four cap screws (M4x16), with spring washers, and remove the stepper motor. Loosen the 2off grub screws (M3x6) fastening the coupling onto the shaft of the stepper motor.
