The equipments' power supply line must be properly protected. This protection is aimed at
preventing personal injury in the event of electric leakage. It is advisable to use an exclusive
power supply line.
System protection will be based on a differential circuit breaker switch (I∆n = 30 mA).
The recommended differential switch is "class A" for pulsating and continuous currents, marked with the
symbols:
The leakage to ground value depends on the number of equipment units connected to the line and their
power rating.
The electrical installation should have a multiple separation system with contact gaps > =3 mm.
The set is fitted with one magneto-thermal switch per pump on the connections panel.
Set with single-phase variable frequency drivers (CKE...M ...)
The power supply input must be single-phase at 230V, 50 or 60Hz. Allowed voltage variations: ±10%.

3.3) Signals cables connection
The signals connections are made at factory. Their wiring diagram are explained in the ESD manual.
4) OPERATING MODES
Automatic mode
It is the usual operating mode.
The ESD controls the motor's rotation speed in order to maintain constant pressure within the installation (the
consigned pressure).
Manual mode
Allows for manually starting and stopping the pump at an adjustable frequency.

6) START-UP
6.1) Verifications prior to initial start-up
Make sure the mains frequency and voltage correspond to those indicated on the characteristics plate on the
pumps.
Prime the set by completely filling the suction manifold and the pumps with water, through their priming cap,
ensuring that there are no leaking joints or connections.
Verify the pressure of the expansion vessel.
