Amplifier complies with part 15 of FCC rules. Operation
is subject to following two conditions:
1. This device may not cause harmful interference.
2. This device must accept any interference received,
including interference that may cause undesired
operation.
Amplifiers circuitry may cause interference to nearby
radios. To prevent, switch amplifier off or move away
from affected radio.
NOTE: This equipment complies with the limits for
a class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of FCC
rules. Limits are designed to provide reasonable
protection against harmful interference in a
residential installation. This equipment generates,
uses and can radiate radio frequency energy;
and if not installed and used in accordance
with the instructions, unit may cause harmful
interference to radio communications. However,
there is no guarantee that interference will not
occur. If equipment does cause interference
to radio or television reception (which can
be determined by turning equipment on and
off), correct interference via one or more of the
following measures:
• Increase the separation between the
equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a
circuit different from that which the receiver
is connected.
NOTE: Shielded cables may be required to be
used with amplifier to ensure compliance with
Class B FCC limits.

INSTALLING BATTERIES

1. The amplifier uses ten D alkaline batteries
(not included).
2. The removable battery door on back of amplifier is
designed to stay closed. Slide door to remove.
(See Figure 10)

3. Lift battery holder out. (See Figure 11)

4. Install ten D alkaline batteries. Observe polarity when
inserting batteries into compartment. Negative (flat)
ends go against springs. (See Figure 11) Carefully
replace battery holder. Batteries should appear
standing up.
CAUTION! Do not mix battery types. Do
not attempt to recharge alkaline batteries.
Equipment damage, safety hazard or fire
could result.
NOTE: Battery holder cable comes already
plugged into connector. If cable comes loose,
push it in to secure. (Turn plug over if it does
not fit – it only fits one way.)
5. Slide door back into place. Amplifier is ready for use.

USING AC ADAPTER

1.
Plug AC adapter into
"DC IN" jack on front
panel of amplifier.
(See Figure 12)
2. Plug into electrical outlet.
Amplifier is ready for use.
