Proper Wedge Placement
Improper Wedge Placement
Placement between components will adversely affect foot performance and void warranty.
6—Finishing
To avoid rubbing noises, pull the sock up to the base of the pyramid and immobilize it using a fine
string for example.
7—Product Life
This component has been tested cyclically, which corresponds to at least 3 years of use
depending on the activity of the patient.
An annual check by the Prosthetist is recommended.
8—Maintenance
No maintenance operation such as lubrication, work on the screws, or other parts is required for
this foot.
The patient is encouraged to periodically remove the foot shell and clean the foot to remove any
dirt or debris which could alter the foot behavior or damage it.
To clean the foot shell, use a slightly damp cloth or sponge.
Do not attempt to remove the foot from its shell by pulling it out by hand. This may damage the
foot, voiding the warranty.
Always apply or remove the foot shell with an appropriate tool or device to minimize wear and
damage, such as a shoe horn.
The foot shell and the sock are the only foot components that may need to be replaced (if worn
out, lost, etc.).
If the foot shell and/or technical fiber sock need to be replace, please contact Proteor USA for a
®
replacement. The RUSH Foot
is designed to work exclusively with the Proteor USA foot shell and
supplied technical fiber sock. Only the Prosthetist can order a replacement foot shell or technical
fiber sock.

9—Advice for Use and Safety
A technical fiber sock should always be used with the RUSH Foot
introduction of debris that may come into contact with the composite material, as well as
minimize wear to the foot shell.
Use temperature : - 20°C / + 60°C (- 4°F / 140°F) .
Use of the foot that does not adhere to your Prosthetists recommendations can damage foot
components (carrying heavy loads for example).
In case of an abnormal behavior of your foot, or if you feel changes in your foot features, or if the
foot sustained a hard impact, contact your Prosthetist.
After use in water or in a very dirty environment:
•
Remove the foot shell and take off the technical fiber sock.
•
Rinse the foot and the other parts thoroughly with clean water to eliminate debris such as
dirt, sand, rock, etc.
•
Allow all the components to dry before reassembly.
10—Recycling
The different items of the foot are special wastes and must be handled according to local laws.
