4. AMBIENT TEMPERATURE

Ambient temperature: maximum+40ºC , if the ambient temperature exceeds +40ºC , or the motor
is located more than 1000 meters above sea level, the motor output (P2) must be reduced due to
the low cooling effect of the air, in such cases, it may be necessary to use a motor with a higher
output.

From the Fig.2, the pump is installed up to altitude 3500 meters, P2 will decrease to 88%, if the
ambient temperature is up to 70ºC ,P2 will decrease to 78%.

5. INSTALLATION

1) When install pipework, must ensure the pump casing does not bear external press of the
pipework.
2) The motor must never at the bottom of the pump.
3) Pump should be mounted horizontally on a fl at solid foundation, axial inlet and radial outlet.
4) For inspection and maintenance, and have a
good ventilation, there should be at least 0.3m space behindthe motor.
5) The inlet diameter of the pump must not less than the specifi ed size.
6) Pump should be installed in ventilated and anti- freezing places.
7) If the pump is installed outside, there should be suitable protection to avoid water entering the
electric elements.
8) Electrical connection device should ensure that the pump would not be damaged as lack of
phase, leakage, unstable voltage and overload.
9) For best operation status, and to minimize noise and vibration, should consider to have vibra-
tion reducing measure.
