• Never attempt to remove pusher, lid and bowl at the same time. The
pusher must be removed first, then the bowl and lid can be removed
together. Empty the bowl first, then remove the blade.
• To avoid the blade falling out when you are emptying the bowl,
we recommend that you hold it by placing a finger on the blade
stem, or by holding it underneath (by placing a finger in the
opening intended for the motor spindle).
Chopping hard food:
• To chop hard food like garlic or certain cheeses, take out the small
pusher, press the I touch-pad control and then slide the food into the
opening. The smaller-sized food can be inserted whole. Chop the
other food approximately into 3-cm pieces.
Chopping fresh herbs:
• The aromatic herbs, bowl and blade must be perfectly clean
and dry. Cut off the stems of the herbs. Put the herbs into the bowl
and press the SEQ touch-pad control several times, until
the herbs have been chopped up enough. The more herbs you chop
at once, the more finely chopped they will be.
• If the aromatic herbs are quite dry when chopped, they can
be kept in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 days, wrapped in a
hermetically-sealed bag. They can also be deep frozen.
Chopping meat, poultry, fish and shellfish:
• The food must be very cold, but not deep frozen. Use a knife to cut
approximately into 3-cm pieces. Press the SEQ touch-pad control for
chopping
coarsely.

finely, press the I touch-pad control and run the motor for a
few seconds. If necessary, use the spatula to remove the food
remaining on the sides of the bowl.
Chopping nuts:
• Put the nuts into the bowl and press the SEQ touch-pad control.
Check frequently that the nuts do not stick together in the bowl. Use
the spatula to disperse them around the bowl
Stiffly whisked egg whites:
• This machine allows you to whisk up to 6 eggs. Place the egg whites
in the bowl and press the I touch-pad control. Let the machine run
until the egg whites form a dense mass.
Hint: add a pinch of salt or a few drops of lemon juice for an even better
result.
B. Slicing and grating

through the opening.

• Press gently on the pusher, and at the same time press the I touch-pad
control. Stop pressing as soon as the food is sliced/grated.
• The food can be added through the feedtube opening without removing
the lid. Simply take out the pusher and introduce the food through
the opening. The machine will start to operate as soon as the pusher
has been re-inserted.
• To remove the food: wait until the disc has stopped revolving. Take
out the pusher, then remove the bowl and its lid. Now lift up the disc
and take out the food. Always hold the disc by the sides.
Hint: use the 2 or 4mm slicing disc to obtain thicker or thinner slices.
• If you wish to grate thinly use the 4mm grater disc. For thicker strips,
use the 6mm grater disc.
Slicing whole fruit and vegetables:
• To slice round-shaped fruit and vegetables of average size like onions
or apples, cut off the ends so that the fruit can be placed flat on the
metal disc. Choose firm fruit that is not overripe. Remove core, pips
or the stones before slicing.
• Place the food into the feedtube opening, as far as possible over to
the left, so that it does not topple over when striking the metal disc.
Hint: For perfect slicing of whole green/red peppers: Remove the stalks
and seeds. Leave the other end of the pepper intact so that it remains
rigid.
• Fill the feedtube opening depending on the desired result.
• For long slices or thin strips, cut the food to the width of the
feedtube opening and insert the pieces horizontally.
the
• For small round slices (carrots, cucumbers and other oblong-shaped
vegetables) or for finely grated results, cut the food to
the length of the opening and insert it vertically.
IMPORTANT:
• Ensure you do not pack the food in too tightly, otherwise you will
block the pusher. Do not press too heavily on the pusher or you will
damage the machine. To grate or slice soft fruit or vegetables like
bananas, mushrooms, strawberries or tomatoes, apply very gentle
pressure so as not to crush them.
• Always use the pusher to grate or slice foodstuffs. Never put your
fingers or the spatula into the feedtube opening.
Slicing raw uncooked meat or poultry:
• Cut the food into pieces the width of the opening. Put it into
the freezer until it is hard to the touch, but easy to pierce with
the point of a knife. Place the food in the opening, cut side
facing down, and press on the pusher to start the slicing.
