CAUTION: Inadequate delivery of medication because
nebuliser held incorrectly
Always hold the nebuliser upright during inhalation.
Inhalation for the lower respiratory tract
Inhalation with the mouthpiece is the most effective form of inhalation
for the lower respiratory tract, since it results in minimum medication
loss on the way to the lung. The child mask is only recommended for
children if they are unable to inhale using the mouthpiece. When a
mask is used, the patient must always breathe in through the mouth
during the session.

Sit in an upright position and relax.

Switch the compressor on.
The nebuliser will generate a visible mist
(aerosol).

Hold the mouthpiece between your teeth
and enclose it with your lips.
