4. Safety instructions and instructions for use
The tools must only be used according to their purpose under the provided conditions and within the
restrictions on use. Repairs on braking systems must only be performed by specialized staff. Imperatively
observe the indications of the vehicle manufacturers. Brake pipes must only be bent up to max. 90° so that
the passage of the brake fluid is not impaired.

5. Working method

5.1. It is imperatively necessary to cut the lines neatly, angularly and burr-free in order to be able to attain
good flanging results.
To do so, at the best use a mini pipe cutter as well as an internal/external deburrer. (Fig. 5.1.)
5.2. Equip the basic tool with clamping screws. When turning in the clamping screw, make sure that there is
sufficient space to insert the clamping jaws.
The open side of the clamping jaw seat on the basic tool shows to the right and the hydraulic spindle seat is
located on the left. (Fig.5.2.)
5.3. Then select the clamping jaws according to the cross section of the line which needs to be flanged (refer
to the indications for diameter and type of flanging at the inside of each jaw half). Afterwards insert the two
clamping jaws into the basic tool in a way that two similar jaw profiles are opposite each other.
It is necessary to adjust the correspondingly selected flanging profiles for the hydraulic unit.
