( a ) , clean it and put it back
together ( b ) – or use a new one.
! New dirt control devices must
also be put together in the middle
first.

Now move the knife back to the
initial position and insert the
blade ( see also the chapter on
changing the blade, 6 to 7 ) .

When re-inserting the dirt control
device, hold the grooves again
tightly with the thumb and the in-
dex finger. First push the device
into the gap in the middle and
then push it inside completely. The
grooves and the hooks must point
outwards.

Finally close the blade cover again
( a ) , fasten the screw tightly ( b;
maximum torque: 0.5 Nm ) and
add a protective cap.

The dirt control device is correct-
ly inserted when it completely
fills the gap.
