3. Application
• Remove the cap from the top side and place on the bottom side
The Instrument switches on automatically.
• Press the measuring electrodes as far as possible into the material.
• Always measure the moisture in the wood perpendicular to the fibre structure.
• Repeated measuring yields representative measured data.
• Once the measurement is finished, press the on/off key for abort 2 seconds and the
instrument switches itself off.
The Mode of Instrument
This instrument has automatic power-off(about 2 minutes) function, when the user holding
the ON/OFF key, after abort 2 seconds, the instrument will enter the mode which will cancel
the automatic shutdown function automatically, at this mode, the instrument will shut down
automatically when the user do not any operating in about 2 minutes; When the user through
holding the MODE key, then press the ON/OFF key, the instrument will enter the mode which
will cancel the automatic shutdown function, the instrument will work all the time until the
user to turn it off.
Temperature Display
0-50 centigrade 32-122 Fahrenheit
Please Note: Characteristics due to growth or type of wood and deviating wood temperatures
may make it necessary to correct the displayed values. Measurements should be carried out
according to the drying and weighing/calcium carbide method in the case of inspections or for
reference purposes.
ON/OFF Key
Long press (2 seconds) to select on/off function, short press for opening/closing backlight
function
Mode Keys
Long press (2seconds) for the Celsius/Fahrenheit temperature switch function, short press for
wood/material
humidity measurement switch function

Memory Function
The instrument in the operation of the user after the reboot will memory the last set, includes
the choice of measurement for wood /building materials, Fahrenheit/ Celsius, and backlight.
Changing the Battery
When the batteries become exhausted or drop below the operating voltage, the battery
warning symbol will appear in the LCD display. The battery should be replaced.
Unscrew the 1 screws at the back of the instrument.
Remove the battery housing. Change battery. Observe polarization! Reconnect instrument.
