The product is in class I and IP65, wich is the protection rate for the units to be used even outdoor.
For keeping the protection rate of the appliance, the connection of the appliance with the power supply must be
done by means of a minimum IP65 system, as per the standards HD 384 CENELEC for Europe, or international
IEC 60346-7-708 1988.
4. LOCATION
The Fiore range of heaters is deliberately designed to be very flexible in the choice of position. There are three basic
options:
A wall mounting bracket version with a specifically designed fitting for wall attachment (768M). Before drill
the holes for the dowels, be sure that the wall is solid and that you are far from water tubes or electrical wires. Ap-
ply the drilling template on the wall using adhesive tape and punch in the marked points (see the pictute at page 7).
For fixing the appliance at the wall, drill four holes with a 5 mm diameter bit and fix the wall bracket with the dowels
and screws that you find in the box (fig.2). Then fix the appliance to the wall bracket using the 2 screws and the 2
half rings (fig.2).
A chain suspended version (768S). Before drill the holes for the dowels, be sure that the ceiling is solid and that
you are far from water tubes or electrical wires Fix the buttonhole dowels at the ceiling at a distance of about 55
cm. Fix the 4 half rings a the pipe of the appliance, being sure that the chain is fixed with the screws (fig.3). The 4
half rings should be at the opposite sides of the pipe, for the best stability. Ensure that the chains are securely
mounted as this application is designed for overhead use.
A version for mounting on uprights from 20 up to 60mm in diameter (768P). For fixing it, please see fig. 4. The
upright bracket is studied for holding one appliance or two of them in opposite position.
IMPORTANT: Before fixing the appliance on the upright, please ensure that it is stable and solid. Preferably, use the
upright that can be ordered as accessory (cod. 002473). The feet must be opened as far as the white evidenced line on
the inferior tube reaches the junction of the feet. If there is the risk of accidental falling down of the upright, fix the feet
to the ground in a proper way.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that the supply cable is well mounted and that it does not come into contact with the reflector of
the heater or that it does not trail into the heated area. The supply cable can be fixed to the metal pipe behind the re-
flector with plastic wrappers.
5. COMMISSIONING
Switch on heater (in the models that have the switch) and confirm that emitter is operating.
Ensure that the heater is aiming its warmth into the target area by adjusting heater angles as necessary by using
the adjustment device on the bracket, after you have loosed the screws of the half rings (fig. 5). All users should be
made aware of all aspects of operation and safety and these instructions should be retained for reference.
In unoccupied premises it is recommended that the heating system is switched off and isolated from the electrical
supply.
6. MAINTENANCE
Mo-El Fiore heaters contain no moving parts and therefore very little maintenance is required other than to ensure that
there is no excessive build-up of dust/dirt on the reflectors or emitters as this can cause overheating and premature
emitter failure. To clean the appliance, wipe off with a damp cloth.
7. EMITTER AND SILICON BUMPERS REPLACEMENT
The emitters used in the Fiore are robust and if knocks and shock vibrations are avoided, they will last for around 5000
hours. When changing the lamp, also the silicon bumpers connected with the lamp must be substituted. They should be
substituted even before if there are signs of aging. Due to the special sealing and anti-shock design of the heater, the
emitters are not intended to be user replaceable. Please ensure that all emitters are replaced via the Mo-El service
network.
