-Do Not use the meter or test leads if they are damaged. Use the Meter only as
directed in this manual.
-Be Extreme caution when using the computer near uninsulated conductors. Do
not operate the equipment near dust, vapor or gas.
-Check The operation of the meter taking a measurement with a known voltage.
When the value of the range to be measured is unknown, check that the initial
range has been predetermined at the highest level.
-To Avoid damage, do not exceed the maximum limit of the input values shown in
the tables speci cations.
C
When the meter is connected to measurement circuits, do not touch unused
M
terminals.
Y
Be careful when working with voltages above 60Vdc or 30Vac rms. These
CM
voltages can cause electric shock.
MY
When making connections, connect the common measurement before connec-
CY
ting the live tip. When disconnect, first remove the tip and then live the common
tip.
CMY
K
Before changing the meter function, disconnect the ends of the circuit under test.
For all functions with voltage DC (direct current) to avoid the risk of electric shock
due to inaccurate readings, verify that the presence of any AC (alternating
current) voltage first.
-later Select a range of DC voltage equal to or greater than in the range of CA.
