2. Apply minimum pressure to work

MOUNTING SANDING BACKING PADS
WARNING: Proper guard must be reinstalled for grinding wheel,
sanding flap disc, wire brush or wire wheel applications after sanding
applications are complete.
WARNING: Accessories must be rated for at least the speed
recom mended on the tool warning label. Wheels and other accessories
running over rated accessory speed may burst and cause injury.
Accessory ratings must be above listed minimum wheel speed as
shown on tool nameplate
The backing pads are available at extra cost from your local dealer or
authorized service center. To install the pad, follow the instructions
that come with the accessory.
USING SANDING BACKING PADS
Choose the proper grit sandpaper for your application. Sandpaper
is available in various grits. Coarse grits yield faster material removal
rates and a rougher finish. Finer grits yield slower material removal
and a smoother finish.
Begin with coarse grit discs for fast, rough material removal. Move
to a medium grit paper and finish with a fine grit disc for optimal
finish.
