After completion of static pre-adjustment of all the stops with integrated shock
absorber:
7. Make sure that:
– nobody can place his/her hand in the
swivel range of the stop lever
– no objects lie in its path (e.g. by pro-
viding a protective screen).
In conjunction with shock absorbers, the
protective cap 5 no longer snaps into
place.
With all DSMI types:

Check to see if additional shock absorbers or stops are necessary. Additional
shock absorbers or stops are required in the following cases:
– With moveable masses with a mass moment of inertia above the calculated
permitted mass moment of inertia.
– Operating the DSMI-... without an air cushion on the exhaust side (e.g. after
long intervals between the individual swivel movements).
Stops for the internal cushioning of shock absorbers can be ordered at a later
stage and fitted onto the DSMI-... (see chapter "Accessories").
If you are using external stops and shock absorbers:

Make sure that the following specifica-
tions are observed:
– the point of impact must be at the
centre of gravity point S (important for
eccentric masses m on the lever arm)
– permitted impact force
– minimum impact radius r
– use of protective devices (e.g. protec-
tive screen).
