Safety
− Avoid the build-up of heat by not placing the slow cooker
directly up against a wall or under cupboards or similar.
The steam that is emitted could damage furniture.
− Never place the base unit on or near hot surfaces (stovetops,
etc.).
− Ensure that the power cord does not come into contact
with hot parts.
− Never fill the base unit with liquid.
− Never attempt to clean the base unit by immersing it in
water. Otherwise, you could damage the slow cooker.
− Never place the base unit in the dishwasher. It would be
destroyed as a result.
− Stop using the slow cooker if any parts exhibit cracks or
breaks or are deformed. Only replace damaged parts with
corresponding original spare parts.
− Always leave a gap of approximately 8 inches (20 cm)
around the exterior of the slow cooker while in use.
− Do not cook in the base unit. Only use the ceramic bowl
provided for cooking.
− Do not leave the base unit switched on without the
ceramic bowl in place.
− Ensure the lid and ceramic bowl are allowed to cool before
immersing in water. Insufficient cooling time will cause the
lid and the ceramic bowl to crack.
− Ensure all parts of the slow cooker are correctly assembled
before operation.
− The lid and ceramic bowl of the slow cooker cannot be
placed in a microwave or in an oven.
− Avoid hitting the lid and ceramic bowl against hard
surfaces.
