Warnings
This product is intended only for use by trained dental per-
sonnel. Read these operating instructions carefully prior to
startup of the contra-angle handpiece and keep them handy
for further reference.
Observe all safety information and warnings, including the
following:
• The contra-angle handpiece should be sterilized after each
patient to prevent any transmission of infective agents such
as e.g. HIV (the AIDS virus) or hepatitis B which might
cause serious illnesses or even lead to death.
• Suitable hygienic measures must be taken to prevent cross
contamination among patients, users and other persons.

• Use the contra-angle handpiece for removal (e.g. of caries)
only when the burr is clamped securely in place. Do not pull
the burr out of the contra-angle handpiece head. A loose or
partially removed burr could detach itself from the head or
break off and cause injuries.,
• Prior to putting it into operation, the new contra-angle hand-
piece must be sterilized.
• After sterilization:
Immediately remove the contra-angle handpiece from the
steam sterilizer.
• Sterilize again once the storage period has elapsed.
• Prior to each use, test whether the fitted instrument is firm-
ly seated by pulling and turning it.
