SAFETY PRESCRIPTIONS

•This booklet is an integral part of the appliance and
must be carefully read before use since it contains
important information on the safety, installation, use
and maintenance. Keep in a safe place.
• After removing the packaging make sure the appliance is undamaged
and that no parts are missing. If in doubt, do not use and contact an
authorised LANGE DISTRIBUTION service centre.
• Do not leave parts of packaging (plastic bags, foam polystyrene, nails,
etc) within reach of children since they are potential sources of danger.
• This appliance was exclusively designed for domestic use to weigh
people. Any other use is considered improper.
• LANGE DISTRIBUTION cannot be held responsible for any damages
to people animals or things caused by incorrect installation or due to
improper, incorrect or negligent use.
• The appliance can be used by children over the age of 8 and by people with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or
knowledge, only if they are supervised or instructed on how to use the appliance
in safe conditions, and subject to their understanding of the relevant risks.
Children must not play with the appliance. The appliance must not be cleaned
or serviced by children under the age of 8 without the supervision of an adult.
• Contact a service centre authorised by the company for any repairs and
ask for original spare parts.
• If you decide to no longer use the appliance, make any dangerous parts
harmless, especially for children who may use the appliance to play with.
Abide by the existing standards in your country for instructions on its
disposal.
• Do not mount the scale with wet or damp feet because you might slip.
• The glass of the scale could be slippery when moist: make sure that it is completely
dry before weighing yourself.
