Probable cause
Batteries are drained.
Battery terminals are not
in the correct position.
Battery voltage is too
low. Low battery symbol
blinks. [If the battery is
drained completely, the
mark does not appear.]
The cuff is not fastened
properly.
You moved your arm
or body during the
measurement.
The cuff position is not
correct.
You are using the wrong
size cuff.
The healthcare
professional may be using
a different sized cuff.
Your measurements may
be elevated by white coat
hypertension
Corrective action
Replace battery with new
one. Alkaline battery
recommended.
Reinstall the battery with
negative and positive
terminals matching those
indicated in the battery
compartment.
Replace battery with new
ones. Alkaline battery
recommended.
Fasten the cuff correctly.
Make sure you remain
very still and quiet during
the measurement.
Sit comfortably and still.
Make sure the cuff is at the
same level as your heart.
