Load control module, 3 inputs for toroidal current sensor, detectable power 25 W-100 kW, single-phase power supply 120-230 V 50/60 Hz three-phase 230/400 V
50/60 Hz, installation on DIN rail (60715 TH35), occupies 1 17.5 mm module. Supplied with a toroidal current sensor 01457.
The device prevents the switch in the electricity meter from tripping due to overload; it can
operate on both single-phase and three-phase systems. The current on the electrical line
to be monitored is measured with a current probe (art. 01457, 01458) and it is capable of
independently controlling up to 3 electrical lines. It is designed to control systems where there
is also a generating plant (e.g. photovoltaic systems). If the line cable is not easily accessible,
the measurement can be made remotely by means of the power meter art. 01450 connect-
ed to the By-me bus. In addition, it saves the history of the energy values of each of the lines.
CHARACTERISTICS.
• Rated supply voltage:
- L1-N: 120-230 V 50/60 Hz.
- L1-L2-L3-N: 127/200 V 50/60 Hz; 230/400 V 50/60 Hz.
• Rated supply voltage TP Busbar: 29 V
• Absorption: 5 mA
• Measurable power: from 25 W to 100 kW (up to 33 kW per line)
• Terminals: TP busbar, power supply voltage (three-phase + N), inputs for current sen-
sors (art. 01457, 01458)
• Operating temperature: + 5 °C to +40 °C (indoor)
• 1 module of 17.5 mm
• Protection class: IP20
• Overvoltage category: III
• Measurement category: CAT III
• Altitude: up to 2000 m
• Degree of pollution: 2
• Relative humidity: 80% 31°C - 50% 40°C
This device cannot be configured on By-me control panels art. 01950-01960.
OPERATION.
• Controllable system types:
- Single-phase/three-phase with consumption only
- Single with consumption and local generation on one or more lines
- Single-phase/three-phase with consumption and remote generation on one or more lines
• Control:
- Up to 16 loads or groups of loads that can be controlled by controlling the same
number of relay actuators. The groups of controlled loads must be given a priority
that determines the sequence of disconnection by the device itself; this is performed
via the By-me control panel art. 21509. The user can disable automatic control by
applying forced switching on or off to the loads.
• Measurements:
- Measurement of active and reactive power on at most 3 local lines and 3 remote lines
N.B. If a negative power charge is shown, invert the relative current sensor.
- Partial and absolute power meter
- Power history of the line on an hourly, daily, monthly and yearly basis
• Parameters:
- Available power threshold (function of the contract power on the line)
- Max time for exceeding the available power threshold (tolerance time on the line)
- Priority on the controlled loads
For all the details on the parameters, see the installer manual of the By-me control
panel art. 21509

CONFIGURATION.
FOR THE OPERATIONS OF INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION, SEE THE
INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL FOR THE By-me SYSTEM CONTROL PANEL art. 21509.
The device is configured via the dedicated menu on power management; for each
home automation control panel only one load control can be configured.
• Selecting the default functional blocks:
- When required by the control panel, press the device configuration button; the Red
LED will turn on and the control panel will configure the default functional blocks in the
required groups. At the end of this operation the red LED will go out.
• Selecting the load control functional blocks:
- After the first configuration, within one of the control groups in the control panel, start
the configuration procedure and press the device configuration button; after these
two operations set the desired priority for controlling the loads on the various lines.
INSTALLATION RULES.
Installation should be carried out in compliance with the current regulations regarding
the installation of electrical systems in the country where the products are installed.
• Before working on the device, switch the power off at the main switch for each line
connected (L1, L2 and L3).
• The device must be protected by an easily accessible circuit breaker.
• Important: The two neutral terminals are connected to each other. Do not use the
neutral terminals as outputs to power the load.
• On single-phase systems, connect the mains voltage to terminals L1 - N.
• When connecting several S2 and/or S3 sensors, connect the respective phases L2 and/or L3.

The connecting cable of the current probes is 400
mm long so, in order to make the local measurement,
appropriately prepare the wiring of the line cables
inside the electric box.
The current probe must be installed so that the side
with the label is facing the line power meter (genera-
tion/ consumption/exchange).
• The power supply circuit must be protected against overloading by installing a device, fuse or circuit
breaker, with rated current not exceeding 6 A.
• This device is compliant with the reference standard, in terms of electrical safety, when it is installed in
the relevant consumer unit.
• If the device is used for purposes not specified by the manufacturer, the protection provided may be jeopardized.
• Observe the maximum current and voltage values given for the device.
