CE INPUT LOGIC
The functions associated with the CE digital
input can be selected using parameter P0
see CHANGING THE SYSTEM PARAMETERS.

See paragraph "Heating/cooling mode

FAN COIL ENABLING/DISABLING
FUNCTION
If the CE input is configured as an enabling
input, P0
= 0, the thermostat will use it to

enable operation, see the following table:

ACCESSORY FUNCTIONS
Electric heater (managed as integration)
The standard operation of the electric heater
accessory uses an ON-OFF command. In
order to control this type of accessory, the
parameter P0
must be suitably configured,
5
that is P0
= 0 and then set the speed
5
selector to the "Aux" position. The activation
of the electric heater takes place if there was
a request for thermostat operation and that
the water temperature is sufficiently low as
shown in the figure that shows the ventilation
enabling thresholds based on the water
temperature. Upon startup of the thermostat,
Electric heater operation involves pre-
ventilation and post-ventilation phases in
relation to its activation and deactivation. The
figure to the side shows these times.
It should be noted that the pre-ventilation
phase (20" at V1) always corresponds to the
activation of the electric heater, while the
post-ventilation phase always corresponds
to the deactivation of the electric heater (60"
at V1).
The Sleep function (economy) in the AER503IR
thermostat is available if the thermostat
was interfaced with a presence sensor (with
,
normally open logic) connected to its CE
7
input and if the parameter P0

The new adjustment setpoint results from the
following:
Setpoint = Setpoint value - Δ
If the thermostat goes into anti-freeze or
emergency mode because of the ambient
probe, the input will be inhibited.
N.B. Air-side changes to season are
prohibited while the CE input is closed.
the heater is OFF and will be activated only if
the water temperature goes down below the
enabling threshold (which is 35°C with the
normal band, 31°C with the reduced band).
Activation of the electric heater consequently
envisages ventilation management based on
the proportional error in the same way as for
the Automatic mode.
If the fan coil is operated with continuous
ventilation, then the electric heater will switch
off when the set point is reached; following
the post-ventilation phase (described below),
the ventilation continues at speed V1.
