14.3 LIGHTING
open the fire door (Fig. 6.3.1);
Clean the fireplace from any ash residues (Fig.
6.3.2);
completely open the primary air adjuster (Fig. 6.3.3);
carefully place the wood pieces inside the combustion
chamber;
place a natural fire starter on the stack;
add some crossed fine wood sticks;
light up the fire starter from the top
close the fire door
keep the air vent opened to ensure a high bright flame
slightly close the air vent only when proper grill base
is ensured.
14.4 RELOADING THE FUEL
To load fuel inside the machine while it is running, follow
the procedure below:
Open the fire door slowly to prevent the creation of
an air gap inside the fireplace that would cause the
smoke to escape in the environment (based on the
draught of the fume exhaust duct).
Reload the fireplace with fuel and then close the
fire door.
Avoid overheating the stove by loading an excessive
amount of fuel.
Insert the fuel only when the grill bases are formed
and the flame is low.
The stove is provided with a bypass valve that favours
smoke transfer in the fume exhaust duct, minimizing the
smoke puffs in the environment.
14.5 ADJUSTING THE PRIMARY AIR
Primary combustion by placing air in the fire box. This
is regulated by the register located on the front of the
ash box door (-6.4A-). If you wish to achieve more rapid
combustion, turn the knob so that the knob is completely
open; if instead you wish to achieve slower combustion,
turn the knob so that the knob is partially open; When
lighting for the first time of the day or if the wood is damp,
it is advisable to keep the register fully open. Once the
fire is burning it is advisable to adjust the air register
depending on how much heat is required or how long you
want the load of firewood to last. When the fire has been
lighted up, the stove can work at the nominal charge and
the combustion air register can be turned off.
