Set the inlet regulator
The inlet regulator is set according to the type of operation:
• When operating with the second inlet closed, turn the inlet regulator to 0.
• When operating with the satellite filter or skimmer, turn the inlet regulator to a position between 1 to 4.
I
• Unlock the locking (pull towards the inlet regulator) while pushing the inlet regulator to the desired position:
– Position 0: Second inlet closed. Water is only drawn in via the housing (strainer casings).
– Position 1 to 3: Part of the water is drawn in via the housing (strainer casings), and part via the second inlet.
– Position 4: Second inlet opened to the max. position. Water is only drawn in via the second inlet.
Commissioning/start-up
The unit switches on automatically as soon as the power connection is established.
N O T E
Never allow the pump to run dry. Otherwise the pump will be destroyed.
• Ensure that the pump is always flooded during operation.
• Regularly check the water level.
• Always position the unit below water level.
C A U T I O N
Risk of injury due to fast rotating components.
A temperature monitor switches the unit off automatically in the event of overload and on again once it has
cooled down.
• Isolate the unit before starting any work.
Switching on the unit
• Establish the power connection.
When started up, the pump automatically performs a pre-programmed self-test (Environmental Function Control
(EFC)). The pump detects if it is running dry / blocked or submerged. The pump switches off automatically after ap-
prox. 90 seconds if it runs dry/is blocked. In the event of a malfunction, disconnect the power supply and "flood the
pump" or remove the obstacle. Afterwards, the unit can be restarted.
Switching off the unit
• Disconnect from the power supply.
N O T E :
A brand-new pump will only achieve its maximum capacity after several operating hours.
Seasonal Flow Control (SFC)
J
AquaMax Eco Premium 12000/16000/20000
With the SFC function activated, the pump automatically optimises and reduces the amount of water and the delivery
head by up to 50%. Thanks to the SFC function the pump adapts to the individual pond ecology throughout the year
and supports the pond biology through temperature-dependent circulation (winter mode, transition mode and summer
mode).
The SFC function is switched on and off at the pump. The SFC function reduces the power consumption of the pump;
without SFC, the pump permanently operates at maximum throughput. The seasonal flow control does not function
when the pump is installed on land (dry installation). If a skimmer, satellite filter or Oase InScenio control unit is used,
we recommend deactivating the SFC depending on the unit.
The pump power can only be controlled by an OASE current management unit.
