Using the Air Conditioner

IMPORTANT:

• When you turn off the air conditioner, wait at least 3
minutes before turning it back on. This prevents the
compressor from overloading. This 3 minute delay
also applies when switching from cool mode to fan
and back.
• Do not operate your air conditioner in the Cool mode
when the outside temperature is below 59°F (15° C).
The inside evaporator coil may freeze up, and the air
conditioner will not operate properly.

Normal Operating Sounds

When your air conditioner is operating normally, you may hear sounds such as:

• To prevent circuit breaker from tripping, when
adjusting the thermostat or fan speeds, wait 3 minutes
between compressor cycles to allow enough time for
the refrigerant pressure to equalize
