Set the Gauge into the first hole as per the instruction given above. Insert the Calibration
Screw down through the top of the gauge until it makes contact with the Calibration Stud. Do
not over tighten the Calibration Screw.
10) Turn the Micro Gauge Nut until the '¾' mark is displayed in the window.
11) Insert the Feeler Gauge between the Calibration Stud and the Calibration Screw (use the
appropriate Feeler Gauge, as per Table 1).
12) Rotate the Micro Gauge Nut back towards the '0' mark on the decal.
13) If the Smart Gauge gets tight at "1/4" mark, then calibration has been achieved.
14) However, if the Smart Gauge either moves past or does not reach "1/4" mark, then
calibration has not been achieved. If this occurs, the Calibration Screw should be adjusted
until step 12 is achieved.
