Burner
Flame
Check
Remove cooking
grates and heat diffusers.
Light
burners, and rotate
knobs from Hi to Low.
You should
see a smaller flame
on Low than you see on Hi.
Perform
a burner flame check on the side burner as
well (if equipped).
Always
check flame
prior to each
use. If only low flame
is seen, then refer to "Sudden
flame
drop or low flame"
in the Troubleshooting
Section.
Turning
Grill Off
Turn all knobs to OFF. Turn LP cylinder
OFF by
turning
the hand-wheel
clockwise
to a full stop.
Igniter
Check
Turn gas off at LP cylinder.
Press and hold burner
control
knobs. A "clicking"
sound should be heard
and spark seen between
the electrode
and burner.
See "Troubleshooting"
if no click or spark.
Batteries
Batteries
will deteriorate
over time, especially
in
outdoor
conditions.
This can cause their casings to
leak. Check the condition
of the battery
periodically
before use. Remove the battery
from the electronic
ignition
before storing your grill.
Valve
Check
Important:
Make sure gas if off at LP cylinder before
checking valves. Knobs lock in OFF position.
To check
valves, first push in knobs and release. Knobs should
spring back. If knobs do not spring back, replace
valve assembly before using grill. Turn knobs to Low
position
and then turn back to OFF position.
The
valves should turn smoothly.
Hose Check
Before each use, check to see if hoses are cut or
worn. Replace damaged
hoses before
using grill. Use
only identical replacement
part valve / hose /
regulator
as specified in the Parts List of this Use and
Care Guide.
General Grill Cleaning
Hood Interior:
Use a strong solution of detergent
and
water
or a grill cleaner with scrub brush. Rinse and
allow to air dry. Do not apply a caustic grill / oven
cleaner to painted surfaces.
Plastic Parts: Wash with warm
soapy water
and
wipe dry.
Do not use citrisol,
abrasive cleaners,
degreasers
or a concentrated
grill cleaner
on plastic parts.
Damage
to and failure of parts can result.
Porcelain Surfaces:
Because of glass-like
composition,
most residues can be wiped away with
baking
soda / water
solution or specially formulated
cleaner.
Use nonabrasive
scouring powder
for
stubborn stains.
Painted Surfaces: Wash
with mild detergent or
nonabrasive
cleaner and warm
soapy water.
Wipe
dry with a soft nonabrasive
cloth.
Stainless Steel Surfaces:
To maintain
your grill's high
quality
appearance,
wash with mild detergent and
warm
soapy water
and wipe dry with a soft cloth
after each use. Baked on grease deposits may require
the use of an abrasive
plastic cleaning
pad. Use only
in direction
of brushed finish to avoid damage.
Do
not use abrasive
pad on areas with graphics.

Do not allow
dirt and grease to accumulate
on
stainless steel.
®
Do not use steel wool as it will scratch the
surface.
®
Many
products
and naturally
occurring
substances
in the outdoors
will damage
all
stainless steel finishes. Use caution
so they do not
come in contact
with your grill. These include,
but
are not limited
to, pool chemicals
(chlorine and
bromine),
lawn fertilizer,
ice melting
salts, sea
and salt water, urine, bird droppings,
and tree
sap.
®
Store your grill 50 to 100 feet away from a pool
as many pool chemicals will cause rust.
Cooking Surfaces:
Clean cooking
surfaces with a soft
bristle
brush. Make sure that no loose bristles remain
on the cooking
surface prior to grilling.
It is not
recommended
to clean cooking
surface while grill is
hot.
