- Some parts of the appliance have been lightly
greased. Consequently, the first time the appli-
ance is used a light smoke may be detected.
After a short time, this smoke will disappear.
INSTALLATION OF THE LEGS (FOR MAXIM'S
PLUS MODEL):
For the installation of the legs follow the following
steps and the drawings of figure 3:
1. Place the leg covers (I) on the bottom of the
legs (II).
NOTE: You must enter them on the side that does
not have the hole for the screw.
2.Fix the upper part of the leg (III) with the sup-
port for the grid (IV) introducing the screw on the
outside and fixing it with the wing nut.
NOTE: The inclination of the upper part of the leg
(III) must be opposite the grid support (Fig.3.1).
3. Also attach the lower part of the leg (II) to the
grid support and upper part.
4. Place the body of the barbecue against the
floor and insert the previously assembled assem-
bly taking into account that the grid support must
be on the inside.
5. Put the stand assembly and place the grid (VI).
NOTE: This barbecue can be used with or without
legs, both indoors and outdoors.
USE:
- Unroll the cable completely before plugging it in.
- Fill the tray with water, respecting the MAX and
MIN levels.
- Place the grid in one of the 2 optional heights.
To place it in the highest position, insert the legs
of the grid into the right hole (Fig. 2a). To place
it in the lower position, insert them in the left
hole (Fig. 2b)
- Connect the appliance to the mains.
- Turn the thermostat control to the desired tem-
perature position.
- The pilot light (D) comes on.
- Wait until the pilot light has gone out which
will indicate that the appliance has reached an
adequate temperature.
- During the appliance's use the pilot light will
come on and off automatically, indicating the
heating elements are working, and therefore
maintaining the desired temperature.
- Place carefully on the grill the food to be
cooked.
- In order to minimize the generation of acrilamida
during the cooking process, avoid reaching dark
brown colours on the foodstuffs.
- The water will evaporate during the appliance's
use, so that it will be necessary to refill the
water tray.
- When refilling, avoid dropping water on the
heating element.
ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED USING THE
APPLIANCE:
- Select the minimum position (MIN) using the
thermostat control.
- Unplug the appliance from the mains.
- Clean the appliance.
SAFETY THERMAL PROTECTOR:
- The appliance has a safety device, which pro-
tects the appliance from overheating.
CLEANING
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains and
allow it to cool before undertaking any cleaning
task.
- Remove the tray as indicated in (Fig. 1), to
facilitate cleaning.
- Clean the electrical equipment and the mains
connection with a damp cloth and dry. DO NOT
IMMERSE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
- Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a
few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry.
- Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or
base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products,
for cleaning the appliance.
- Never submerge the appliance in water or any
other liquid or place it under running water.
- It is advisable to clean the appliance regularly
and remove any food remains.
ANOMALIES AND REPAIR
- Take the appliance to an authorised technical
support service if product is damaged or other
problems arise. Do not attempt to disassemble
or repair the appliance yourself as this may be
dangerous.
