8.1. Maintenance and care
Notify the dealer or the manufacturer of the unit of the leak and the cleaning liquid used. The unit must be returned for inspection and any necessary repairs.
Caring for the ultrasonic tank
Check the ultrasonic tank regularly for residues, in particular on the tank floor. Remove any residues.
Rear ventilation slits
Check the rear ventilation slits of the unit on a regular basis.
If necessary, use a vacuum cleaner to remove any dirt in order to ensure adequate ventilation inside the unit.
Caring for the housing
Any residues of cleaning liquids can be wiped off with a damp cloth and using, depending on the type of dirt, cleaning liquids as described above.
8.2 Service life of the ultrasonic tank
The ultrasonic tank, in particular the sound-emitting surfaces, are considered wear parts. The changes to the surfaces that occur over time are initially
i
visible as grey spots and later on as material abrasions (cavitation erosion). In order to slow down the wearing process as much as possible, we use a
special highly cavitation-resistant stainless steel.
To extend the service life of your unit, we recommend observing the following instructions:
• Gently clean the surfaces (wipe, rinse, etc.) on a regular basis to remove any residues from cleaning, in particular metal particles and flash rust.
• Use suitable cleaning chemicals, particularly with regard to the kind of dirt introduced to the tank
(refer to chapter 6.1. Risk of damage to the ultrasonic tank! and related information).
