Fire fighting is an ULTRAHAZ-
ARDOUS, UNAVOIDABLY DAN-
GEROUS activity. This helmet
will NOT protect you from all
burns, injuries, diseases, condi-
tions, or hazards.

To reduce your risk of injury, this
helmet must be properly adjust-
ed and secured to your head
with all components in place.
•
If this helmet is exposed to heat,
you may be BURNED with NO
warning and NO sign of damage
to the helmet.
•
Use extreme caution for all oper-
ations.
•
This helmet is NOT warranted to
be fit for a particular purpose.
•
Failure to comply with these
warnings may result in DEATH,
INJURY, DISEASE, or ILLNESS.
•
Firefighting is an extremely dan-
gerous activity. Do not perform
this activity unless properly
trained and equipped.
•
This helmet is NFPA and/or
OSHA compliant depending on
the configuration chosen (see
label). It is designed to provide
LIMITED protection to the head
when worn during structural fire-

fighting activities. Avoid expo-
sure to flashovers, collapses,
falls, and other conditions that
may exceed the protective
capacity of the helmet.
•
Use adequate eye protection.
Removal of goggles or
faceshield voids the helmet's
NFPA certification.
•
The faceshield provides LIMITED
protection to the facial area it
covers.
•
Bourkes are for cosmetic pur-
poses only and provide NO eye
or face protection. Bourkes are
not certified to ANSI or NFPA
Standards.
•
This helmet MUST fit firmly on
the head with the chin strap
securely fastened to provide
maximum protection.
•
Inspect the helmet after EACH
use following the inspection pro-
cedure in the instructions.
Replace ANY part showing wear
or damage.
•
NEVER alter, paint, or attach any
item not recommended by MSA
to the helmet.
•
NEVER use any abrasive clean-
ers or solvents. Clean with mild
cleaners and a soft cloth.
Failure to follow these warnings can
result in serious personal injury or
death.
